Readings in Literature:

LIT 943 is a course given in conjunction with the travel opportunities available at CCC to Europe and other locales.  It is offered for either 1 credit or 2 credits (or possibly 3 credits if both sections are taken together).  Past opportunities have included studying Charles Dickens in London by way of theatre and visiting Dickens’ House, reading a play by Eugene O’Neill and seeing it performed, viewing the art of William Blake and reading the accompanying poetry—and then writing an appropriate analytical/critical essay based on the readings and available opportunities combined together.

Offerings in London January 6-16, 2003, included reading Macbeth by Shakespeare and then seeing the production starring Sean Bean and Samantha Bond (Miss Moneypenny) with paper written upon return.
