A little something about me
I have been working with IT since before this field was called IT... since 1978 and have developed a passion for technology since then. In 1988 I had the opportunity to get involved in training and developed a passion for it also. In 1994 I started using the Internet - another passion!
In 1995 I could, finally, start to put my three passions together and started teaching IT courses in academic institutions.
In 1999, I came to US with my daughter to study (we are from Brazil).

In 1999 I earned a certificate in Distance Learning from University of South Dakota.

In 2002 I earned a Master's degree in Instructional Design Technology from university of Iowa.

I am now working on a PhD in Instructional Design for Online Learning, degree I plan on having by July 2007.
My life is around my family, my work, my studies in US, and my family and friends in Brazil. You will find a link to information about Brazil in my resources page.
My daughter is 16 years old and I learn with and from her every day.
I have a dog that I adore: my French Bulldog Honey. Honey is a very loving and caring dog - she is so ugly that she is cute! She also has the advantage that, in case of need, I can lease or even use her as a paper shredder!
My husband works at HIN and breeds and shows dogs as a hobby.
My only hobby is learning, and it is divided in learning about IT and learning about education, teaching and learning.
