The Illowa AITP
Chapter sponsors our SCC Student Chapter AITP, and each year they award recognize
outstanding academic achievement, AITP participation, dedication to the
computer-career field, and community service by awarding the Outstanding
Student Award. This award carries with
it a cash stipend and name on a school plaque.

The Student Chapter received the Student Chapter Outstanding Performance Award for outstanding chapter accomplishments in the areas of education, membership, public relations, chapter meetings and Association participation. The Scott Community College Student Chapter has won the award for the following years:
1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1994
In 1987 and 1994, the Scott Community College AAS Degree Program (then named Business Computer Programming) received the Outstanding Institution Award presented by DPMA and the DPMA Education Foundation (DPMA was the Data Processing Management Association – now AITP).
National Collegiate Conference 2004 – Rick Hoxie received the Robert Half Technology Scholarship and also passed his ACP exam (www.iccp.org)
